Residential Receiver
Friday, January 27th, 2012We all were very excited about this, but this died about 1 minute after we installed this. Will should return it and discover something in addition. Works much better than my previous wired device and does what it had been designed to complete. I’m very happy with this device. For the Ventstar instant thermostat to function, you want to buy
at least one transmitter the other receiver,
so you are looking at $200 minimum.
I have been using the Venstar thermostat designed for over some months now.
This review is dependant my experience from the pass four months.
For by far the most part, the essential function works.
I will be much happier if improvements are prepared in the following areas:
1) This transmitter is too large. If this size might be reduced by means of 50%
it will look much better.
2) For that $200 item, I expects a more significant grade plastic material casing.
The current plastic casing is too cheap seeking my tastes.
3) A receiver some time missed the command sent from the
transmitter. It will probably eventually reel in up, but the delay is annoying.
This often get worse should the I use a ‘house code’ beyond zero.
(zero would be the default ‘house code’)
This is actually a big issue for me. If the link between the particular transmitter
and receiver is much more reliable, user knowledge will improve a great deal.
4) It all lacks your support for ‘integrated air quality’ product.
If you now have a air filter installed when using the furnace, you can not
set up a separate time schedule just for the lover.
5) Anyone interface is known as a pain to program. This is mainly because
transmitter has only 5 buttons with it. Each button has got to serve
multiple characteristics. I like the user interface of the Luxpro
thermostat _much_ more desirable. (Luxpro doesn’t have a cell model,
however) This problem can be solved in case Venstar is usually
willing to feature more control keys. (more…)
